How to enter basic calculations
Use the number keys and operator keys to build expressions such as 12+8, (5+3)×4, or 18÷3. Press = or Enter to calculate. The display keeps your expression visible so you can check it before evaluating.
Guide
This guide covers the main controls in the Casio-style scientific calculator, including basic entry, trigonometry, angle modes, powers, roots, logarithms, Ans, delete, and clear.
Use the number keys and operator keys to build expressions such as 12+8, (5+3)×4, or 18÷3. Press = or Enter to calculate. The display keeps your expression visible so you can check it before evaluating.
Tap sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, or atan, then enter the value inside parentheses. For example, sin(30) in DEG mode returns 0.5, while sin(π÷6) in RAD mode also returns 0.5.
Press MODE to switch between DEG and RAD. Use DEG when your angle values are degrees, such as 30, 45, or 90. Use RAD when your angle values are radians, such as π÷2 or π÷6.
Use x² for square, x³ for cube, and xʸ for a custom power. The square root key inserts √( so you can enter values like √(81).
Use log for base 10 logarithms and ln for natural logarithms. Examples include log(100), which returns 2, and ln(e), which returns 1.
After a successful calculation, the result is stored as Ans. Tap Ans to insert the previous result into a new expression, such as Ans×2.
Use DEL to remove the last character. Use AC or ON to clear the current expression, result, and error state. Escape also clears the calculator when using a keyboard.
